A 5 for 5 Church
St. James provides support to each:
St. James serves as the local chair for the Royersford and Spring City Crop Walk. A portion of the proceeds go to Church World Service and the majority stays within the community and goes to Project Outreach.
St. James supported the Moringa Community to help them become a sustainable community in Ghana. They have taught them skills like how to can foods, weave, make soap, etc. Most recently St. James made a financial donation to assist in the purchase of a tractor to help make their farming more efficient. The children continue to hold seed packet drives annually.
St. James hosts several blood drives throughout the year with Miller-Keystone. Miller-Keystone is a blood bank that supplies local hospitals.
St. James’s team Great Strides hosts several fundraisers throughout the year to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. The local event is held at the Pottsgrove High School track.
Each year St. James holds a chicken BBQ dinner. The proceeds from this dinner are always designated to 2 or more charities, keeping at least one local. This year’s beneficiaries are: Main Street Ministries, Orion, and Maintenance Reserve Fund.
