Church Staff and Leaders

Pastor Beth Eustis

pastor@stjames-ucc.org

I am a 2020 graduate of Lancaster Theological Seminary and have served at three area churches as a Bridge Pastor. Two were UCC at Valley Forge and Immanuel UCC. The other was…St James! I was blessed to be able to serve the congregation part time for five months while they searched for their interim pastor.
I grew up in Pittsburgh and was raised Catholic. I stopped going as a teenager and remained largely unchurched for many years until my son, Nick, was old enough to go to kindergarten. Enter the UCC. I found a home at UCC at Valley Forge and was a member there for 21 years until I joined St. James.
I live in Royersford with my beautiful dog, Allie. My son, Nick, and his brother, Ben, are in their 20’s and fully launched. In a previous life, I was a theater major and performed on stage off and on for 40 years. I still love going to the theater and movies, listening to music, singing, walking and eating out with friends.

Donna Pinto – Music Director/Organist

I have been Choir Director and Organist at St. James UCC for nearly 10 years.  It has become my second church family, as everyone is friendly, welcoming, and supportive.  I enjoy sharing my music to aid people in worshiping God.

I received both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees as a piano major from Temple University.  After graduation, I taught piano at Settlement Music School for many years.  I later obtained a Master’s in Computer Science and worked as a software engineer for nearly two decades.

Born and raised in northeast Philadelphia, currently I live in Limerick with Mark, my husband of 25 years, a wonderful tenor soloist, who has contributed greatly to St. James’ music program over the years.  Mark has generously pitched in during the pandemic when the church family was unable to meet in person and the choir has been on hiatus.

We both enjoy singing in choirs, bowling, golf (miniature and regular), getting together with our friends, and traveling to scenic and interesting destinations.  I am also an avid amateur photographer.  At home I enjoy gardening, Sudoku puzzles, counted-cross stitch, Facebook and creating databases for my music and other household items that need organizing.
