The Neighbors in Need offering will be accepted Sunday, October 4^th. Throughout September, you have been receiving inserts in the bulletin concerning the various phases of this offering.   This offering supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. This also includes the Council for American Indian Ministries (CAIM) and advocacy efforts. 2/3’s of the offering is allocated to Justice and Witness and 1/3 to CAIM.

St. James will participate in the 37^th annual Royersford/Spring City CROP Hunger Walk, on October 18, 2015 at 1:30 pm, preceded by on-site registration and an Opening Ceremony at 1:00 pm. The walk will begin and end at First United Church of Christ in Spring City (145 Chestnut Street, Spring City).

Donations go for things we take for granted like food, self-help programs such as seeds for growing crops, or putting in wells so villages have clean safe water. You can help by walking or sponsoring a walker.

Sponsorship of the CROP Walk will support the struggle locally, with 25% going back to our local community, and 75% going around the world.

The Fall Rummage sale is being held on October 17^th from 8am to 1pm. This event is sponsored by the Women’s Fellowship.

The best time to bring donations of household items, clothes, seasonal goodies for the sale is after 3pm on Friday the 16^th during set-up. If you would like to bring in large amounts of items early, please contact Cindy Valerio. All other donations of smaller items can be placed in the room across from the nursery. No TV’s, computers or mattresses.

What a great way to donate unused items, or find new treasures for yourself! Invite your friends to join us for a day of fun and fellowship. A light lunch will be served. Proceeds will benefit the ministries of St. James UCC and local charities.
