The Spiritual practice of Meditation

This year for Lent, consider adding the spiritual discipline of meditation. The latest research on meditation shows an amazing variety of neurological benefits – from changes in grey matter volume to reduced activity in the “me” centers of the brain, to enhanced connectivity between brain regions. In addition to improved brain function and the many physiological benefits such as lowering stress, meditation can grow and enhance our ability to perceive God’s presence in our lives, and to feel God’s Spirit literally moving through us and in us.
